The Good Days and Bad Days of Back Pain

When I was a young man I used to hear people just a few years older than me complaining about back pain. I knew a fellow who was only about 50 who walked with a walker because his lower back hurt so bad. I actually thought he might be trying to scam the system, because he had what he called “good days” where he did not use the walker as much. Now that I’m 50, I know what me meant about having “good days.” If it weren’t for the expertise of my chiropractors, I probably would not be able to get out of bad.

The pain can be so debilitating. I am afraid of getting any back surgery. (more…)

I Do Not Ever Want to Live Anywhere else

When you think of Phoenix, you may not realize that mountain climbing and hiking are both very popular. I do both often, and I also go to a Phoenix chiropractor to help keep my body in good shape so that I can continue participating in my two favorite hobbies. Staying active is something that I need to do in order to continue to stay happy, so I go to the chiropractor often and I also do other things to stay in good shape like eating well, working out and stretches.

Most people think of desert, cactus and extremely hot, dry temperatures when they think about the city that I live in. (more…)

Identifying the True Pain Cause

My cousin complained about back pain when he was riding in my car one day. He thought the car seat might be causing it, but I told him that it would be best if he went to one of the Cumming chiropractors, because something was probably wrong with his back. He was sure that his back was fine, but he took my advice anyway, and learned that he had a pulled muscle that would heal eventually, as long as he gave it time. I wondered how he pulled his muscle in the first place and didn’t realize it. (more…)

Are You Deficient in Key Vitamins?

I never thought about vitamins until a San Francisco chiropractor happened to mention them during a visit I made for shoulder pain. He asked if I took any supplements and I replied that I never did. He then asked about my diet and I had to admit I don’t eat all that well. I never have. I grew up as a latchkey kid back in the 1980s and my parents left me to my own devices when it came to food. The result is that I developed a lifelong affinity for junk food. The chiropractor said we should take a closer look.

A few tests later and the numbers didn’t look all that good. I’m quite deficient in Vitamin D, which can be a very serious issue on many fronts. (more…)

I Had a Back Injury at Work

I had heard of chiropractic adjustments before, but I really did not know what one was. It is kind of like hearing about a colonoscopy, but not really understanding the entire ordeal if you have never been through it before. When I fell at work and hurt my back, my boss suggested that I look into one of the Concord chiropractors and get some adjustments done. Rather than ask him what the benefit of that would be, I decided to go online and get the most accurate information that I would be able to find out about it.

I went to the website of a local chiropractor, and I was able to get so much information from just that. (more…)
